Booda Clean Step

If you are like me then you will love your cat to pieces; what you don’t love is the smell and mess of their litter tray.
I have two beautiful cats and as we live in a third floor apartment, we don’t (and can’t – they keep forgetting their keys) let them out. The only problem that I have with this is that they have to use a litter tray.

Now, I have more than a few OCDs, and I emptied their litter tray of any mess on a daily basis and put a litter freshener down but still I could smell it. Plus the grit that they kicked all over the bathroom took ages to hunt down and clean up. I was at my wits end.

At this point, I spent the afternoon searching for alternative litter trays and came across an amazing invention – The Booda Clean Step.

The Booda Clean Step cat litter tray looks like an igloo. It has a large domed roof and a ramp with bumps on as an entrance. The reviews were positive about the Booda Clean Step, but I was doubtful. With two large cats that pooped and made plenty of mess – I thought the reviews had to be fixed. But I gave it a go and a week later the poo palace arrived!

The Booda Clean Step is HUGE! It easily fits two large cats in and the fact that it looks like an igloo means it isn’t an eye sore. The doomed roof allows my cats to feel like they have plenty of room and the bumpy ramp actually gets rid of all the cat lit that remains on their paws. This means, that they can’t kick litter out of their tray whilst trying to cover it and they don’t accidently take any out with them when they leave.

The Booda Clean Step has a large round vent at the back with a filter that can be changed meaning that any nasty odours don’t escape.

I was worried that when the Booda Clean Step arrived (The Poo Palace as we call it!) that the cats wouldn’t use it, it does look a bit strange and if the cats, as mine, hadn’t had a covered cat box, but thankfully, curiosity got the better of them and within an hour they were in the Booda Clean Step having a good old nosey around.

The only problem I have with Booda Clean Step is cleaning it. As it is a dome and circle shape and it is HUGE it is difficult to empty it into the bin bag. However, this is a very small issue to an otherwise perfect cat litter box.
I can honestly say that I would never, in a million years, go back to a traditional cat lit box ever again. The Booda Clean Step is practically perfect in every way!
